Finding out the exact candidate is not only difficult for corporate but also to man power consultants, who have their forte in this domain. To find the potential candidates, there are various ways like job portals, advertisements, head hunting and referencing etc but ultimate success depends on how well the candidate details are being maintained and how rigorous follow ups are done with candidates by recruiters. Most of the organizations use Excel as a tool for managing candidate records, couple of them has developed applications but these applications do not help in meeting out the needs of the complete life cycle of Recruitment process. Online search portals do not provide solution to manage the offline resumes and candidates records. Process of finding out the right candidate from job portals is also not easy and rewarding, as everyone has access to the same job portals. While consultants make search on these portals, clients too make the search on the same database and hence the results are not fruitful. Recruiter’s time is important and hence to ensure a higher productivity of recruiters, it’s important that the recruiter/consultants use the right set of tools and techniques to manage their offline candidate database and optimize their search.
